I have been having issues with my interent \ phone connections dropping rather frequently since I swapped out my (also customer owned) Linksys CM100 modem back in March, which I did not have any issues.
I have had two technicians come to my house test signal levels (which return as good, I will post them when I get back home) and tell me that the issue was due to activation (I had previously gone through the activation process and was getting internet and phone, it just drops). I did notice that on the comcast website that my model information under My Account \ Internet services said it could not display the modem information (ie, serial number, MAC etc). I went through the activation process again and this information appeared, however the modem is still resetting periodically.
I am connecting the modem to a Linksys EA6500 wirless router and have validated that the router is not having any issues, error logs are clean. I need some direction on getting this issue resolved, the modem was brand new when purchased.
Can someone provide any direction on helping me resolve this issue? I would greatly appreicate it. Thanks.
