This is getting out of hand, for the past 2 months I've been getting nothing but ping spikes and time outs all day long, I have contacted tech support dozens of times only to be put on hold for 30min-1hr and being told to just power cycle and sending signals to my modem. When a tech came to my house, he verified the time out and ping spikes and told me that it was NORMAL, I may not be techsavy but I can tell you it is not normal at all. How can you lie to my face and tell me that it is normal to see this kind of connection? When the tech was testing it NOTHING was even on, no internet browser, no games, nothing, just a straight ping test. He even went around the house to look at my cable connections, which was installed by comcast techs when I got it years ago. He said everything checked out, everything is normal, and left. The numbers he saw were close to the ones I am pasting below. I have tried flushing my DNS and power cycling that thing a million times and nothing is working.
Currently using a Motorola SBG6580, residing in San Francisco.
