I've been dealing with this problem for nearly 2 weeks after a comcast technician decided to incorrectly rewire my house to deal with an unrelated problem. Have had 2 more visits since then and have made more calls to customer support than I care to count.
Have tried 2 different routers and directly connecting modem to PC and it has made no difference. I'm reluctant to swap modems (although I will if I have to), simply because of repeated failure by comcast to classify the modem as one I own vs a rental and the last technician escalated that issue to his supervisor who may or may not have finally resolved that issue.
