Hello,
I opted for the self-installation kit using my own modem believing it would be a 5 minute installation like it has been in the past, however I ran into some issues. Prior to the self-installation kit arriving a Comcast technician was poking around in the back yard making sure that the house would be Comcast ready. To my knowledge, there is only one coax cable outlet in the house which was installed by my former ISP WOW (Wide Open West). I was under the impression I would hook the modem up to this line after Wide Open West disconnected me, however it's been more than 24 hours since I told them to shut me off and I am still on the internet through WOW.
Will I be able to use the existing line for Comcast? I have been told by WOW that Comcast will need to use a different line, however since a Comcast technician came by to assure the house was Comcast ready I don't know what to believe.
