I moved my phone/internet router from one room to another. To ensure I keep to best signal to the router I swapped the connections from at the splitters to follow the router. The drops from the splitter to each room is about the same length. The end result was none of the TV's in the house would work. I switched it back and all the TV's started working but there is an echo in the phone.
Weird thing is, the cable from the pole goes to the output port of the tap, the router was connected to the input side and tap side goes to splitters for the televisions. What would connecting the tap in reverse do? Is this amplifying the signal?
I have a tech scheduled to come out later this week, but just curious what this tap is doing.
