I am a new Comcast customer. Our internet service started mid-December. By the end of the month we had used 248 gb of data! On January 1st, when I woke up and checked the meter (couldn't get it to work until the end of December) I was shocked to see that we had used 5 gb of data over night! Then from 7 to 10 another 1gb (we were gone from 8:30 to 10) As of yesterday...13 gb. I am afraid to look at it this morning. ....How can this be...especially when Comcast info says the average person will use 19gb a month. Yes, I have kids, no, they are not on the computers all of the time. I "chatted" with a rep and she told me yes...I had used the gb but could not tell me how...I am very frustrated and will not be staying with Comcast because at the rate the meter is going I will have a crazy bill each month (yes...I do know I get 3 free months of overage...wow). My questions are....where is all this data being used? Who is the data genie monitoring usage? How accurate is this monitoring? I am afraid just sending this message will cost me another gb or two!!
Oh well...back to ATT where, not once, did I go over any imaginary data cap.
