Internet Continuously Cuts Out

Alrighty, so here's the dealio.

 

For the past two months, I've been having very spotty connection issues. The internet would constantly cut in and out, and it still does. In fact, just today my internet was out for about an hour. An. Hour.

 

I've been trying to troubleshoot it myself, but could still use some insight into the matter. I tried resetting my Netgear Router. Seemed to work for about an hour, but then disappointment kicked in when I saw the familiar 'you are not connected to the internet' screen I've seen on my browser so many times before.

 

I've tried switching cables that were connected to both my router and modem. Didn't do anything.

 

I've been starting to think more and more that either the router or the modem is jank... but here's the weird part.

 

The internet works fine during the evening. Like, 100% fine, as if nothing was even wrong with it in the first place. Sometime around eight or nine pm EST there's barely any if at all kind of outage with the internet.

 

Soooooooooo, this really makes me wonder what the issue is. I don't know if it's something that Comcast can fix directly, or if it really is just a router issue, but if it's a router issue then why would it work fine during the evening?

 

I'm just really, really confused, really, really frustrated, and I swear to God if my internet dies again I'm gonna flip my desk over.
