I will be working from home, my work company has provided me with a USB which I connect to my laptop usb port turn on my computer and it becomes my "new work desktop" sometimes when I connect the USB my computer does not automatically boot up correctly to the USB therefore I have to go into BIOS and make some changes....Now once I make those changes I am able to get to my USB work desktop, but I have an issue with the internet not opening on my USB work desktop. I am only allowed to use "Mozilla FIreFox" and I keep receiving a "crash error" from mozilla. I have contacted my companies tech support about this issue. They were able to do a troubleshoot and see what the problem was and they have asked me contact my internet provider and asked them to enable DHCP and to get an ethernet cable since on the USB desktop internet WiFi it's not permitted. So I did the following got ethernet cable and enabled DHCP, but internet on USB Desktop it's still not working.

I was doing some reading and I saw something about getting an IP address... could anyone explain what IP address does? I did moved my gateway to a different outlet recently could this be an issue?

If anyone knows what I am talking about or has an idea please pretty please help I've been like this for a week and it's frustrating. thanks!
