I just switched modems from a 2.0 firmware modem to a 3.0, when I upgraded my internet from the Boost to the 105. I did this switch yesterday, and prior to the switch I was noticing no connection problems in relation to skippy games / freezes.
My speed is fine, absolutely blazing fast... however, every 40-50 seconds I get a 5-6 freeze in gameplay, then after the hiccup is complete, everything warps around to catch back up. When I first started to notice this happening, I ran tracerts at the exact moment it started to lag, meaning, the lag would start, id alt tab, and hit enter on a pre-typed cmd prompt tracert to the game server. Both times I did this I noticed a large increase on the second hop.

I also started pinging random sites through cmd when the lag would start, to see if it was on the games side as well. As soon as the lag would start and my character froze, I'd have ping google.com, or ping comcast.net in the cmd prompt ready to send immediately. Both times the requests timed out. I'm fairly sure there is something wrong on comcasts end here.
I've already talked to a support rep this morning, who had me cycle everything, said she updated something with the modem and sent a stronger signal, and ensured me this would solve the issue 100%.. I went out for a bit, let everything start back up, get going again, and the problem still persists.
I stream / game for a living, this is severely effecting me, and I was not experiencing this problem earlier in the week. Only since the new modem / faster internet.
Thank you in advance for any help given.
