I traded in my surfboard modem (rental) today for an Arris TG862G (rental). I am supposed to be receiving Blast internet, upgraded from Performance.
My issue is that my download speed is currently less that 20 mb and upload is 3.9 mb.
After unsuccessfully trying to call tech support 3 times, I tried the online chat option. After 4 "techs", here I am, looking for answers. Each tech sent the modem a signal and rebooted the modem. Only problem is that this modem takes 8 minutes to start back up, effectively kicking me out of the tech chat. Even after telling the techs it took that long, I was assured that I would not get disconnected. Ha.
Ive tried the modem without my router, same speeds.
Ive removed my splitter (GE digital 5-2400 Mhz), same speeds.
Connected directly to the modem with CAT 5e cable, same speeds.
Using modem gateway wi fi, same speeds.
I've been assured that my account shows Blast speeds, but when I log in to my account, it still shows performance, which matches my current speeds ironically.
