Re: huge packet loss

We have about 20 locations across the country on Comcast business connections and we have a 100MB XO pipe in our primary datacenter.  For about the last 3 weeks we have been seeing packet loss as high as 20% between XO and Comcast.  This is not limited to one area of the country, we have countless more employees who have Comcast at home (across the country) that are having a horrible time getting to our corporate systems.  Users not on Comcast have no issue at all getting to our corporate systems (because they don't have to go through a saturated TATA uplink).

We have detailed graphs from each of our locations - this issue starts very midly around 10AM (CT) and continues through the afternoon, then gets progressively worse between 2PM and 11PM - midnight.  (From midnight to 10AM we see no packet loss at all).  We can also tell this is clearly the link between Comcast and TATA - Comcast refuses to increase the bandwidth there, even though it is clearly needed.  The issue with Comcast pushing too much traffic through TATA is well documented all over the Internet.

20% packet loss is horrible, Comcast shoudl have done something by now but I fear they just don't care - there is no incentive for them, their customers have no other choice.

We put trouble tickets in with XO and Comcast, Xo knew the issue immediately and told us many people are having the same issue with Comcast.  Comcast support has been about as helpful as you might imagine.  I think we are still explaining what packet loss is to them.

Extremely Frustrated.
