Dear Comcast Service people;
Thanks for having a forum where we can have a back and forth on technical issues.
Any suggestions of which modem has the best service history in the Winchester, VA area?
I plan on buying another DOCSIS 3.0 modem if I find out it is needed in this service area to bet better speeds.
We have the Triple play Digital with X1 DVR and a companion box downstairs. I use the raw cable in my kitchen since the DTA only has SD output.
My main reason for posting this question is to see when/if the Winchester, VA headend is using DOCSIS 3.0 internet for the Blast!.
I have my own DHG535 I purchased on eBay back in 2011.
Although I had the common problem of one tech telling me it could not be provisioned and another tech completing the provisioning in about 3 minutes, it has worked fine.
Lately I noticed that the speeds have slowed down about 20%, based on my DSLReports.com speed test.
Would buying a new DOCSIS 3.0 eMTA modem increase my internet speed?
I have not been able to find out if our headend is on DOCSIS 3.0 networks.
