I've been having problems on and off (mostly on for the past month) where almost every time I stream a video online--netflix, youtube, even something small--the WiFi connection cuts out. The odd thing is that this seems to only happen when I use my iPad (running iOS 7.0.4).
I've tried streaming a video on my iPad, then when the connectio drops either reset the modem or just do a simple turn WiFi on/off on my iPad to reconnent, and then watch the exact same streaming video on my computer (windows) and phone (running on Android). Without fail every time I do this the video streams fine on my computer and phone, but if I switch back to my iPad it drops. I've tried resetting the network settings on my iPad, resetting all settings on my iPad, and doing a factory restore of my modem. Still, same problem.
I tried some mac forums but no one could figure this out. And when I use the exact same iPad at my friend's house I can stream videos with absolutely no problem. I'm baffled as to what the problem with this is. Any suggestions EXTREMELY welcome.
If it helps, here are the specs of the modem and router I'm running:
*Modem: Motorola surfboard SB6121, Firmware: SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.10-SCM00-NOSH
*Router: Linksys Wireless-N Broadband Router WRT160N V2
Thanks in advance
