A week or so ago I started getting breaks in video streaming and internet connection. Sunday I lost internet , phone and the ability to change the channel's. This lasted in excess of one hour, yesterday afternoon essentially the same thing. Calls to support were essentially a waist of time. Yesterday the tech went though a bunch of reset and re provisioning that resulted in intermittent lose turning to complete lose with the modem continuously searching. He essentially gave up and scheduled a service call. About thirty minutes service miraculously returned! I would nearly guarantee the problem is upstream of the modem. When the tech arrives I an also sure he will not find the cause and say it is above his level, will see.
When this all started I installed a ping test program.It will go for hours with no failures then a bunch of failures ranging from 30 seconds to two minutes or more. I have had three disconnect while writeing this!

I ping three address's and all fail at same time
Not trying to break any balls buit never had this issue with FIOS. Overall I prefer Infinity but unless this gets fix I will cancel with cause.
It seems Comcast support is compartmentilized. The 800 line folks seem to have no idea what is happening at street level or at network operation when they should be coordinated.
Will see how this goes after the tech shows up tomorrow, not expecting a lot, would be happy to eat some crow to get my service stable.
