Last December I switched from AT&T DSL to Comcast cable for faster internet data transfer. As a technical writer I work from my home office and am online most of the day.
In recent weeks my Comcast internet connection has been down with increasing frequency. Over the past week it's been down for hours every day. Today it was down almost all day. And not just for me, but for my condo community and nearby Oakland residents.
Unlike AT&T, Comcast have no tech support people reachable by phone. So I'm asking my fellow users: Is Comcast internet access usually this unreliable, or is something unusual going on? If it's the former, I'm going back to slow-but-reliable DSL.
