I just picked up a brand new SB6141 off Amazon, and after multiple calls to tech support I'm still having trouble. Somehow the modem isn't provisioning correctly, and looking at the logs I see that it's attempting to download a SW update "d11_m_sb6141_speedtierextreme2_c01.cm"
Before it can complete though, the modem reboots itself due to T4 timeout. On occasion it seems to get a little farther and reports
"SW upgrade failed before download - TFTP Max retry exceeded"
"SW upgrade failed before download - Server not present"
Rinse and repeat, over and over.
My first go around with tech support, they thought my new 6141 was my old rental modem. I now have basic connectivity, but the speeds are so slow I cannot get the SpeedTest page to actually load so I can perform a speed test. Further, the modem constantly rebooting makes it seem like another issue altogether. The current firmware build is SB_KOMODO-1.0.6.3-SCM03-NOSH, with boot version PSPU-Boot(25CLK) 1.0.12, and hardware rev: 7.0.
At this point I'm not sure if I have faulty hardware, or the modem was provisioned incorrectly, or something else altogether. My calls to tech support have been pretty useless - the techs just say "I've sent a signal to your modem you should be good now." Hoping someone on the forum here can save me. Help!
Signal levels are below:
