I purchased an Arris tm822g.
I've read about the options for installing it either online and/or with a call to Comcast.
Most of the stuff I've read talks about installing the modem with a computer connected with an Ethernet cable.
If this is successful, will my network devices be able to connect to the internet automatically as before when I connect it via Ethernet cable?
I'm assuming my LAN will be up and running whether connected to Internet or not.
I read one post that said instead of installing it with a connected computer, you can simply connect your router and do the install via a network devise. Yes?
