Recently I have been facing severe lag in online games, team speak, and other internet based services that does not include normal web based browsing. I have done everything from flushing my DNS server, unplugging/replugging the modem and router. Recently I have ran a ping-plotter to the game server I play and got the following results:

Now, Hop 2 (which I bolded) has a ping of 104ms which seems to be extremely high for the 2nd hop.
Noticing that there seems to be a problem with the First hop after my computer (hop 2), I ran a ping to 98.250.56.1. Here are the results which I found:

Notice in the above ping test there are numberous spikes to 350+. This is the cause of my internet lag I believe and I am unsure as to what could be the cause of this.

Everything looks normal there so I am unsure what the problem could be that is causing the high pings.
This issue has occured in the last week or two since a pretty bad storm struck Lake Orion, MI knocking power and comcast out for a few days. If anyone is able to help me that would be great as I do not want to make a service call if all they are going to try is whatever I have performed already.
