I got an email from Comcast a while ago saying that they had upgraded my service from the 25/4 Mbps to 50/10 Mbps for free. I have called, rebooted, reset, everything I can think of, but I am still getting, on average, 27/5 Mbps.
Is there any way to actually get the speed they promised? I own my modem -- Motorola SB6121. Also, I'm using the Netgear R6300. I changed the DNS servers back to Comcast's default, and still get the same speed. I used DNSBench to change them to different servers, since Comcast's aren't my favorite. Changing them helped by increasing the speed to 27 Mbps down, but I want the 50 they offered.
