Differences in IPv4 and IPv6 speeds

I am very curious as to the reasons behind such vastly different DL speeds using the Xfinity Speed Test.  I subscribe to the Blast speed tier (50Mbps/10Mbps) and consistently get readings like this:

Obviously I am very happy with the IPv6 speeds, but wonder why the IPv4 speeds would be so much slower.

Any ideas?
