For the past several days, my internet has been out when I got home around 5pm and remained out until I went to bed around 12am. When I wake up in the morning around 7am, it is working. I've spoken to numerous Comcast reps who have confirmed that there is not a local outage or work being done, and that it is a signal issue between the street and my house.
Here's where it gets interesting: I live in a townhome, and my next door neighbor with Comcast has not had any service interruptions. All my lines are underground and I've traced what I can see from the ground to the house without finding any problems. I also tried replacing the outside splitter with no success.
I have a Motorola Surfboard modem and during these outages, all lights are steady or blinking except the "online" light (green globe).
Can anyone help me understand what might have happened in the last few days that would only affect Comcast service at my home during certain hours and not surrounding homes? Other than the splitter replacement (after service loss) none of our hardware has changed in months. No nearby construction, either.
If there's any information I can pull from my router or modem that would be helpful, let me know how I can gather it. Thanks!
