For the last 2 months I have received popups about reaching 90% of my 300Gb bandwidth limit.
I got tired of it and upgraded my internet to 50/10 today. After doing some more research I find out that I still have a 300Gb cap. How can Comcast justify having the same cap for all tiers? My speed just doubled so should'nt I my limit be raised? I am paying for the raise.
I also learned this only applies to the Southern states while the north can download as much as they want. Why is the South segregated?
I was told that 99% of the Comcast users never go over 300Gb/mo. I want to hear from the 1%'ers.
I stream, game, upload daily backups, Chromecast netflix, amazon prime video, youtube, which to me is normal.
A quick search returned this post from 2011
In May, 2011 the total data used was: 1363gb
In June, 2011 the total data used was: 758gb
In July, 2011 the total data used was: 1271gb
that was from a family of 5. I am no where near that and since then our speeds have risen which in turn will increase bandwidth.
