I have a motorla SGB6580 that am about to get rid of because of the constant lossing connection issues. I have been told there is some new firmware which no longer says Motorola when you login. From day one this modem has always done the same thing , and then I have to reset it by holding the reset switch pushed in for a min. of 2 minutes, and then pray it connects. On many many occasions I have had to repeat this excerise in order for the modem to reconnect. Here are our connection spec readings:
