Hello,
I am having serious issues with the motorola modem that I purchased and properly setup through comcast.
I have the Xfinity Blast internet and the modem is 802.11n But yet I am receiving just incredibly slow internet speeds on my laptops and even no internet at times. It normally takes 10+ minutes for a youtube video to buffer and not letting it buffer results in it freezing. Additionally my roomate and I have our xbox one's hooked up (his with wireless, mine is wired) and they're having issues too. Mainly we can't play together. we can play with other people, but not eachother. I think it has something to do with the NAT being strict.
Not too long ago i enagble UPnP through the wireless settings and all that did was disable the multiplayer connection on xbox. I still have internet, i can still browse the store and what not. But i cannot connect to and play any multiplayer game. I tried disabling the UPnP. That didn't work. I tried rebooting the modem. that didn't work. I even reset the modem to all default settings. That didn't work.
So i'm at a loss. This modem has yet to work right and it's becoming very frustrating.
I'm going to try calling Comcast and motorola. but i don't know how much they can help.
I believe the firmware on the modem is up to date. it is at version: SBG6580-6.5.2.0-GA-06-077-NOSH
If anyone has this modem and has any tips, they'd be greatly apreciated.
