Our old Aris, provided by you, has a battery back-up which enables us to have phone service in the event of a power outage. The cable guy said we have roughly 8 to 12 hours of service in the event we need 911 service. Our new Router/ Modem came today and as I was about to install it, I noticed no battery in the chamber. What kind of battery do we need, and is it provided by Comcast?Xfinity?
If there is an exuberant extra cost for a battery for this thing, I would like to keep my old Aris. Having emergency calling capability and available phone service during an outage is much more important to me than faster service. Please let me know. Thanks
