Hello guys,
So for the past 4 months or so I've been having intermittent connections and high ping spikes on my Blast internet. I've had my modem changed 5 times ...which is now a technicolor modem. I've had 5 technicians to come out to see if there was a problem, but there was none since the signals were all good. My modem signals are fine. I've contacted corporate many times to resolve the issue, but all they can do is send out another tech. I've asked tech people to send out maintenance crews to help fix this bandwidth issue, but to no avail since they say that dispatch won't come out because there isn't enough evidence for it. It's sad that I know there is a problem and they can't do anything about it. The whole area is a monopoly because comcast is the only HSI provider in my area and I believe in all of south jersey perhaps. There is no competition and comcast knows that. Local area congestion is the key issue and it affecting my Vonage VoIP with dropped/broken calls. The games I play don't play at the same connection. On pingtest.net I never went over 35 ms ping with 5ms jitter, but recently it's been at 120+ms and 120+ms jitter at a local server. This has gone on way too long, but what can I possibly do? People in my neighborhood are oblivious to the problems and don't complain, so I'm a lone wolf here complaining and can't seem to get this problem resolved. Once again all the signals, modem SNR levels, etc. are all fine. It is simply a local area node congestion of some sort because I see really bad ping spikes during peak hours. I stayed up till 3 am one time and it stopped spiking as much, but was still not where it should be. Would really appreciate some tips or any ideas on how to complain or fix this problem, because I just can't seem to escalate it through the techs. I have seen one person on the forums fix the problem after 3 years of this issue and said that a engineer or head tech checked his ping for 48 hours and fixed his problem for good.
Thanks
