Because I upped my service somewhat, I decided it would be prudent to buy my own Comcast/Xfinity Cable Modem-the same one I currently have, but rent. Once I get the Cable Modem, what do I need to do with billing so I no longer get charged for renting the cable modem? The money I save can go to my upgrade for the X1 Platform that is being installed Tuesday making me one, happy, excited camper. Anyhow, how do I give back my current cable modem to Comcast? I am severely disabled and cannot get to my local Comcast place. Could someone please advise me as to what the proceedure is. By the way, that ARRIS Cable Modem is really sweet and is working terrific withmy new super-duper linksys wireless router! My speeds are phenomenal-no matter what time of the day it is-both upload and download!
