Hello,
I have been getting intermittent internet connection issues over the past month requiring modem reboots to resolve - after 3 years of OK service. I logged into the modem at 192.168.100.1 and see a regular (e.g. every 30s to a minute) error occuring in the log. I'm wondering if it is related (and if so what it causes)?
I followed troubleshooting here Link as my SB6120 has continous T4 timeouts:
TimePriorityCodeMessageFeb 21 2014 22:32:49 3-Critical R04.0 Received Response to Broadcast Maintenance Request, But no Unicast Maintenance opportunities received - T4 time out;CM-MAC=00:23:74:f6:ab:f2;CMTS-MAC=00:01:5c:33:38:42;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Feb 21 2014 22:09:49 3-Critical R05.0 Started Unicast Maintenance Ranging - No Response received - T3 time-out;CM-MAC=00:23:74:f6:ab:f2;CMTS-MAC=00:01:5c:33:38:42;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0; Feb 21 2014 22:09:36 5-Warning U102.0 TCS Partial Service;CM-MAC=00:23:74:f6:ab:f2;CMTS-MAC=00:01:5c:33:38:42;CM-QOS=1.1;CM-VER=3.0;
Signal levels look good although Channel 8 always shows T4 timeout - is this an issue?

I called comcast and they provided good numbers:
Upstream Power Level: 40dBmV
• Upstream Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR):36.6
• Upstream Receive Power: 0.2
They suggested I replace the modem - so I got a Surfboard 6121 and the exact same logs as above occured.
I'm suspecting a line outside the home issue (nothing has changed in my connections and it is a straight drop to the modem, no splitters). In the summer heat in the high 90s I get issues, I wonder if the single digit temperatures casue similar issues?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
