Comcast Wi-Fi is AWFUL!

We have had Comcast internet service for about 3 months. The first 2 months we never had an entire day when the wi-fi didn't stop working. Usually, the connection was intermittent throughout the day. I use the wireless connection on my laptop for my business when working from home, one son uses it for his laptop to complete assignments for college, and my other son, my daughter, and I use it for our phones and ipods. Needless to say I hate it! I've been calling Comcast for the past 3 weeks almost every day to get our wifi connection back. I've wasted HOURS talking to India and other tech support trying to get my wifi to work. I was finally authorized to exchange my 1st defective modem last week, and received a 2nd defective modem. Now I've been authorized to exchange my modem yet again- a process that's time-consuming and INCONVENIENT.

Yesterday it stopped working while I was working, and I didn't realize that my phone was performing a download on the wifi. Well, the download continued and I received a message that I'd used 90% OF MY DATA. The same thing happened today when the wifi went out for an hour. I have to make my remaining 10 MB of data last until 12/18. How do I ensure that??!! I despise Comcast Wifi and I'm tired of being led through the same tired steps daily to restore my service. I received an e-mail from Verizon regarding wi-fi service and I'm going to have to look into that. I will tell every one of my clients not to use Comcast for their internet service if they need wi-fi at any time.

If anyone knows of internet service with consistent, dependable, and fast service. Please share that information. I had AT&T dsl and never had a problem with the wifi - ever. The problem is that it's simply too slow for my needs.

Thanks for your input.
