Comcast's Reinforcement of their Monthly Data Limit

First off, I'd just like to say how ridiculous and unfair this is. I've been a comcast customer for a long time, and for the very most part I have loved their service. Their internet speeds are the best available here and I have never had a connectivity issue (outside of the Arris modems being failbots).

Comcast has decided to reinforce their previously shelved monthy data limit of 300GB - for each block of 50GB after that they charge you $10. This is just crappy. I'm a network engineer and use my internet primarily for work, in which case I have to transmit a lot of data each day. When I'm not working, I love to play video games. When a new game comes out, instead of wondering which store has it, I just download it from the Playstation Store or Xbox. This new data cap is crippling me in both regards. With my work bandwith done that leaves about enough bandwidth to download one game I want a month. Forget betas, and software testing, and iTunes movies and the such. I've reached my max before half way each month, and it's purely not fair. I pay almost $300 a month for cable and internet through them, and I feel that I deserve more than that. It really just seems like another way to suck more money out of our pockets. Unfortunately, UVerse sucks.

Google is researching running their fiber out here soon (Atlanta). I can only hope to God that I will eventually be able to get them.

Note: This is not a hit on Comcast - I love their services. I just don't think it is fair to enforce this kind of data cap, especially since I have their fastest internet available and spend oodles of money on all of their offered channels. Do me better than this comast. I can't afford an extra 50-100 a month for bandwidth overages.
