Just a heads up for those who OWN their modem rather than lease them. I have owned my modem for some time and felt it was time to upgrade so I purchased a new Motorole SB6121 DOCSIS modem. Installed it myself and called Comcast to have it activated. Had some issued getting it activated but Comcast was very helpful. My problem was that when I connected the NEW activated modem to my linksys wireless router, I had no wireless connection. Spent some time no the phone with Comcast tech support, even though they were not obligated to help with used-purchased equipment. Long story short, I had internet when directly connected to the modem but no wireless connection. Finally discovered, on my own, that each and every computer and pad had to be reconfigured. I have no idea or explantion as to why this had to be done, but I had to FORGET the wireless connection on each device and configure a NEW wireless connection for each. Hope this helps someone as I spent hours trying to get things back up.
