Not too long ago, I cancelled my TV service with Comcast. Soon after, a rep called to offer me some deals in order to get me back as a customer. I was still paying for internet Performance package up to 25Mbps.
I went ahead and signed up for the deal the Rep offereed. me. It was Xfinity TV w/HBO and Blast! Internet up to 50Mbps.
I have a Zoom 5341 DOCsis 3 cable modem. My internet is shared by a Linksys Wrt54G2 router.
Since the "upgrade", my internet speeds have barely changed. I saw maybe a few days where I was getting 50MBps, however, my speeds are pretty much the same and are never above 30Mbps. My upload speeds are fine. Whether I hook my PC up to my modem directly or through my router, the speeds are the same. Like I said I've seen a few days of 50Mbps, but the majority of the days are 30Mbps or less
