I've been using a D-Link DCM-202 with Comcast for several years, and its been very reliable. But its on Comcast's EOL list, and I'm looking to replace it with a docsys 3.0 modem before it goes to the EOS list.
I'm not very concerned about high performance as I subscribe to Comcast's very cheapest level of internet service. I'm much more interested in high reliability.
When I looked at Comcast's list of suggested docsys 3.0 modems, the Motorola SB6121 looked like the obvious choice with more stars etc. But then I learned that that just means Comcast has done more testing on it; it doesn't necessarily mean its a more reliable modem. Its stablemate the Motorola SB6141 is apparently a better and more capable modem yet has fewer stars, only because Comcast hasn't done as much testing on it.
So, given that I want a very reliable modem, can anyone offer suggestions?
