Hello,
I've been with Comcast for about four months now. When I first began service with them, it seemed like a dream come true. We had beaufitul TV quality and strong internet connection. Although the TV quality is still just as good (much better than it was with AT&T), we began to expirience packet loss of 2-15% after two months of service. I have spend at least eight hours with Comcast online chat (which was pointless). I also have had probably six techs come out to my house. So far, all the wires between my router and the closest street cable have been replaced. You'd expcet six techs and compleatly new wires to fix the problem... right? No, although we no longer expirience much packet loss (1-2% on occasion), I still get a pings jumping from 15ms to 3,500ms. What's even stranger, was I ran a pingplotter test and it registered a problem between me and the first jump (76.103.98.1). That IP is about 8ms away and when running a windows ping test, jumped to over 3,000ms. I am sick and tired of trying to get this issue resolved. Although I would like to just give up and go back to AT&T, they have their own issues making me perfer Comcast for now.
There must be someone out there who has an idea of what could ge causing this. If anyone can help, I'd be infinatly greatful.
-Matthew
