No internet connection.

Since other was an outage I haven't had internet. Called Comcast and they said I need a new modem. Except that modem works fine. I don't care about not having the best speed (hence why the guy told me I need a new modem) I just want it working. Unfortunately, these guys in customer service are braindead.

Doesn't understand what I am trying to tell him and thinks the problem is the modem. I can't even access the wi-fi login page using my wireless adapter. I am so frustrated with Com cast right now and want to switch to a different provider. Trying to get me to buy/spend more money isn't what I want when I know the connection issues is on Comcasts end whether its something to do with faulty wiring or they deliberately cut access so I would be forced to get a new router. Simply unnecceptable and I am dissapointed withComcast being a long time user this is just ridiculous. Anyway I guess I'll have to either wait or get a new internet provider. Because talking to customer service is like talking to a wall.

Current download:  0.67 mbps

Current upload:  0.69 mbps

 

 Speed has dropped significantly over last week.  It's difficult to stream a video or even download news articles on CNN.  What to do?

I can't access dailystockplays.com from my home. it was working fine until 3 days ago. i can't access it on my phone if i put the phone on cellular (take if off wifi). the site is working fine, but i can't connect through my comcast connection.

Despite the recent installtion of larger multiple lines into home for Internet and TV - we are still experiencing interuptions of modem/internet typically in evenings between 9-11 PM in Centennial, Colorado. Repeated calls to Xfinity support have been made, and alledgedly logged. But something is still going on outside our home by Comcast/Xfinity in re-setting/re-booting our Xfinity XB3 modem ... so here is the question: Are others in the Centennial Colorado area experiencing similar periodic semi-regular interruptions?

Internet interruptions problem - happens same time every evening

Every evening about midnight my Internet connection drops. My cable modem is no longer able to access a DNS server according to my Windows computer network connectivity check.  At first I thought this was a random occurrence but oddly it has happened the last few nights about the same time. Unplugging my modem and powering it back up does not solve the problem. I go to bed annoyed. The following morning everything is up and running fine again? What could be going on?

Dear Comcast,

 

       Myself and many others in the middle Tennessee area enjoyed the ability to have unlimited data, but recently you have implemented a 300 gigabyte per month data cap for all customers in the middle Tennessee area. My household easily exceeds this 300 gigabyte cap in less than 2 weeks, much less than 1 month. There was a newsletter that went out when this happened stating that 95% or so of customers in this area don't use more than 300 gigs. You stated that was the reason why you put in the data cap. Why have a cap if people don't use more anyway? Times have changed and files are bigger , videos in higher quality , and heavier Internet use is becoming more common. So I ask Comcast why put a max limit on the Internet? Is it because Comcast also provides television entertainment, and Comcast must compete with other entertainment providers such as Netflix and Hulu? This limit could not possibly be because of the cost of moving that much data around because 100 gigs vs 1000 gigs the cost difference is low. Is this only for the soul suppose to make money? My suggestion is to make unlimited data available to your home Internet packages. Even for a fee this service would be lovely. I think some might be prepared to pay an extra $20 to upgrade to an unlimited plan, all the while retaining the fast speeds of Comcast Internet.

 

      Myself and others in my household need to actively limit ourselves by lowering quality on videos and not downloading to many things. I feel this sort of thing is absurd to have to do when this change was just to gain extra money, and not because of actual limits of technology available. I also notice how the areas this change was made in don't have many options for Internet. The area's don't have access to unlimited data at all. I feel this was a way to force people either to go with Comcast or somewhere else and lose speed. either way you would still have a data cap. This cap is not even because of some technological problem , it's just for money.

Cable and Internet is Complete nonsense!!! Number one, I am a student and all that comcast has done is made me late on multiple assignments. Number two you guys never care, your are nothing but money grubbing monsters. You take control over those less fortunate, and keep making them pay for a service that is complete nonsense. I am currently paying 160.00 dollars for a service that can be difined as horrible. No one ever helps me when I call and they don't even care. They say it is our fault, but arent they providing a service for us and we pay for it. And it is COMPLETE GARBAGE. I've had this service for almost 4 years, and nothing has changed. Not even when I switched over to their "new and improved" modem/router. It is no faster, and your commercials are so wrong that I want to throw a remote at my TV when you spread such lies. There have been days when I was completely out of cable, even though I paid my bill. And the cable is no better. On demand only wants to work part of the time and there are channels that don't even show up for days at a time. Why is it that all of us are ran over by this company. How long is it before someone actually helps those instead for blaming them. I just want my cable and internet to work, without the high end price. Honestly I am a struggling student who always trys to pay on time. Why is it I get horrible service for the 160 that comes out of my pocket. And for that I end this post. I want help and need it, I sick of calling you guys every week for the same stuff.

is therre some good reason that internet speeds have dropped to nearly nothing on my home - service worked fine until about a month ago then dropped until it is virtually unusable - I travel with my computer and it seems to work on all kinds of other networks just fine but the home connection has become useless and Comcast can help with a solution or I will have one on my own -

I used WinMTR program to traceroute.

I tried with any websites and game servers, and no matter what I get more than 70%+ packet loss every time.

Technicolor TC8305C looses connection to DNS while browsing on PC

When My browser is active I intermittently loos internet connectivity. Modem TC8305C resets then comes back on line. This just started in March 2015. I have reset the modem several times and this doesn't help. Log file indicates it looses DNS. Anybody have an explanation or solution?

I have a Technicolor TC8305C from Xfinity for Internet service. Problem I'm having is the modem will loose connectivity on an intermitt basis. Happens when a browser is active. Modem log indicates it was a loss of DNS connectivity. Any help on this ?
